Spitballing a Reboot

The possibility of rebooting the Cardboard Chronicles RP is one that I've seen popping up a fair bit as of late, so I thought I'd make a journal post discussing this. For a while I was toying with the idea of suggesting a partial or total reboot to the CBC as one of the possible outcomes of the TBI Trial arc. It would give us an opportunity to streamline everything, iron out details like the overall plot and characters' powers, possibly excise the egregious Robotnik vs. Wily fight at the beginning, etc.

However, the CBC went on hiatus when one of our main contributors, CuriousSpinnyFan, took an extended leave of absence in December 2014. Going by her last DA post, CSF was going through a stressful time IRL and that was inhibiting her ability to write, which only added more stress on top of it all.  I've noticed she's popped up on DA a couple of times since then, but she hasn't said anything to anyone that I know of. We all miss her both here and on the Spinnyverse Comment Section, and more than a few of us are worried, but it's important that we respect her privacy, and if she wants to contact us she will.

I personally feel that even if we were to resume or reboot the CBC without her, the story just wouldn't be the same without her involvement, or at the very least input. She was, after all, for all intents and purposes the main character. However, featuring her persona without her permission or input would be wrong and is not something I would be comfortable with. So, until she returns or otherwise gets in touch with us, I am of the opinion that the series remain on hiatus.

That said, if the Cardboard Chronicles was to be rebooted, what changes would you like make or see? This can involve any aspects of the CBC - plot, characters, setting, etc. This is just spitballing, so anything goes. If you disagree with someone's suggestions, try to keep it civil.
